Grace & Stella Argan Oil | Beauty

Argan oil – have you used it?

Even though this was a bit of an impulse buy, it wasn’t crazy expensive. I thought “Why not? I’ve literally tried everything else for my hair, why not this?”

It’s not new that I struggle with my scalp and eczema/dry scalp and while it was “better” while I was bleaching (only if it’s because I was burning the top layer of skin off) it’s not any better than it was before now that I’m not maintaining the blonde.

Argan Oil has been touted as one of the best things for skin and hair. So while I was adding things to my Amazon cart, I found the Grace & Stella Organic Argan Oil for $12 and clicked add to cart.

Argan Oil

I’m planning on using it for everything that it says to use it for – skin, hair and nails.

Hair

The first time I put it on my hair I did it as the box says. After washing, apply to damp hair and go about your business. I think I might have used too much – that’s the thing with oil. One second it doesn’t feel like enough is applied, and the next it feels like I’ve applied way too much. Learning curve! So while I noticed an immediate difference to my hair, ie. it was softer, silky, and felt great. It did have a slightly greasy look to it from applying too much.

The next day I applied it just to my irritated dry spots on my scalp. Mainly in my undercut and around my temples. I didn’t use as much and did more of a spot treatment as needed.

This definitely made me up my hair washing routine. Which might be what my hair needs anyways – I might be going too long between washes. Sometimes, I just really don’t get my hair.

Nails

I put it on my cuticles every night before bed and instantly noticed a difference. My cuticles have been in rough shape lately. Hang-nails galore! I think because of the amount of time I spend with my hands in the water now it’s just made them so rough. I definitely don’t put enough cream on them, though I am really working on putting sunscreen on so they don’t get any more sun damage.

Skin

I’m not putting it on my skin other than what is excess on my hands when I’m putting cream on etc. I do like how it makes my hands feel after I apply it to my cuticles. So much softer! I also rub my hands over my face although I’m not putting extra oil on my face. I don’t think that it really needs too much extra to work.

Grace & Stella has a bunch of other awesome looking beauty products which I’m interested in trying out. Have you tried this brand before?
