September Wrap Up | Lifestyle

Oh boy. Hard to believe that September is already over!?

And only a few more months until the holidays. Where did 2018 go?! Honestly, September had its highs and lows.

Some September high points:

Going up to the cottage for the long weekend. The weather has been really, really nice for the last weeks of summer (almost unbearably hot in the city), so it’s been nice to be able to get out.

The Edwards family all headed up to Dryden to visit Julie, and we hung out for a week and worked on her house. She hasn’t seen Kaiden in a good couple months so she was happy to be able to see him more than once a year. We had a great time and the boys got a lot done around her house!

Andrew and I, along with a bunch of friends and couples, went back to see Dane Cook again! He was performing at Casino Rama, so we were able to squeeze in the last cottage trip before the summer truly was gone. It’s already getting cooler now that it is officially Fall, but that just makes it nicer to have a fire outside!

And the September lows:

Unfortunately, while we were away in Dryden our house was broken into. Random things were taken, but suffice to say the major hit was the fact that they stole my hard drive which had a decade of photos on it. And all the photos of Kaiden over the past 16 months. Luckily I printed off quite a few, but everything from the past 4 months is gone (other than social media). Soul crushing!! I’m also going to have to put vlogging on hold since my camera was also a casualty of this.

Silver lining is that at least I wasn’t home alone when they broke in, since my neighbourhood had break-ins during the night while people were sleeping!! That would be so creepy.

But the good outweighs the bad, and it’s really only material goods when it comes down to it. I still have plenty of time to continue making memories!! Still fucking burns though.

I’m looking forward to October though; it’s not going to be as busy! Which is nice.

We have a wedding, Thanksgiving, Florence and the Machine… and that’s about it so far. I am pumped for Florence!!! I think that will be the highlight of October.

What do you have planned for October? Let me know!
