Life :: Bathroom Reorganization

This has been on my ‘honey-do list’ for a long, long time.

I even bought new jars (of which my cat promptly shattered one) to put all my supplies for make up in so it looked neater. It’s taken me about 2 months to actually do it.

But now that I’ve put off procrastinating on this project, I’m so excited to get it up on here!

My bathroom, first off, is small. Andrew awesomely made a shelf for us when we first moved in so that we would have somewhere to put all of my stuff. He gets one lonely shelf up at the top… which is something that he complains about. I have pretty much every surface covered in the bathroom. Shelves, sink, shower stall, window sill, under the sink, above the toilet… Oops! Maybe it is time for me to toss some things!

The main things I wanted to cover were:

1. Organization

This is the hardest thing for me. Which is bizarre because I’m pretty darn organized every where but my home life. I need to use jars and the like to make things easy access, and to make them look nice!

2. Declutter

Like I mentioned above, I have so much stuff that I need to throw out. It’s either old, or I’m clearly never going to use it. I can regift. give to my mom, give to anyone I know who might be interested in some of it, or it goes in the trash. So many damn samples! Maybe I’m going to have to do a sample killer post… Just take a week of using them all up!

3. Clear the floor

Something that drives Andrew crazy is the fact that I shed. It sounds terrible, but my hair is long and it’s dark so it’s noticeable when its all over the floor. I need to make sure that there is nothing on the floor so I can sweep and it’s not caught anywhere. Hair really is disgusting.

I feel like once I get organized, the other 2 will come easier, and I can make sure that I stick to #3 all year round. Huzzah for new year’s resolutions! Do you have a room that just escapes you?
