Catalyst & Co. Haul | Lifestyle

Want crystal-infused candles? Look no further than Catalyst & Co.

I don’t think it’s any secret that I love pretty much anything with candles. But I’m particularly obsessed with candles with crystals. I love the look, I love the idea. It’s just a win-win for me.

But I’m also hella cheap when it comes to actually buying candles. Not that I don’t think they’re worth the cost, but candles are something I have a hard time parting my money for. Stickers? T-Shirts? Books? Take my money. Candles? A little bit of a harder sell even though I love them.

So when Catalyst & Co. came up on my Instagram feed and I found out that it was local, I couldn’t really say no. Because it’s in Mississauga eventually when things open back up I’ll make the trip to the actual store, but for now, I’ll browse online.

Catalyst & Co. has a variety of items; crystals, bath and skin care, candles, and jewellery.

Eleven Past Eleven Crystal Candles

I based my choices on the scent, the crystals, and the purpose. My ultimate crystal is amethyst, so Calm was based more on crystal than anything else. The Positivity was based more on scent over crystals. Both candles had good themes and good scents but the purpose was definitely less of a factor for me.

These candles smell amazing. I’ve only burned the Calm candle (during my bath time) and it’s a more muted scent than the Positivity, but the cucumber melon smells so fresh and it’s definitely calming. The Positivity scent is much stronger, the black raspberry is the dominant fragrance and smells great but is definitely sweet. This one I can only burn in small doses for how strong it is.

Bathorium Crush Bath Salts

Catalyst & Co

Can I just get a moment for Bathorium’s aesthetic? I love the packaging and just everything about Bathorium’s look is just perfection. Am I a sucker for good packaging? Hells yes. No shame. And luckily the product lives up to the look.

I feel like they’re a good price for how much you get. The smaller packages are technically one bath but depending on how you feel you can probably get 2 baths out of one package. The 120g is $9.00 and the 600g is $30.00 and is 5 baths which makes it about $6 a bath. They also have bath bombs, a bubble bath, a kid’s bath line, tea, and a charcoal sponge.

I prefer bath salts over bombs because I like having more control over how much goes in my bath, but their bombs look amazing. I bought one in each of the scents and they’ve all been amazing. My skin feels so soft but not irritated, and the scents are there but not overwhelming. They’re quite relaxing and calming.

I think that the eucalyptus apothecary crush has been the favourite so far, but I haven’t tried them all yet!

Midnight Paloma Gua Sha

So I jumped on the gua sha train. This one is really nice, and while I don’t use it every night, it’s a nice little treat! I think I used it to hard the first night and bruised my face a bit because my jaw was a bit sore the next day. I do think that it was making a difference when I was using it on a more regular basis. I’ve just been a bit lazy with my night time routine and only doing the bare minimum if anything at all at night.

But I enjoy using it and will enjoy using it in the future.

Overall, I would definitely repurchase everything again.

I love the crystals that they sell although I don’t want to purchase those online. I can’t wait until Catalyst & Co reopens! They have a location in Streetsville and Square One.
