Review :: Revlon Lash Potion Mascara

Revlon’s Lash Potion mascara, a new favourite add to my make-up kit.

Revlon Mascara 02
This was another one I received from Natalie, and I love it. How many mascaras does a girl need? You can never have too many it seems, and this is a welcome addition to my daily make-up routine.

The Packaging:

I personally love the fun and bright colours that this has. Definitely makes it stand out in my make-up bag of all black or grey toned items. It’s definitely on the larger side of mascara tubes, and I like that too. Makes it easier to handle, and accommodates the brush size, which is also quite large. While the website has a description of the wand being “triple-grooved for clump-free application”, I can’t say that it looks “triple grooved”, or that I’ve looked that closely at it. The brush doesn’t come across as really anything extraordinary, or revolutionary, more your basic mascara wand. I’m actually enjoying that. It doesn’t make me worry about it going in my eye, or hold it in any specific way, it’s just a pleasure to use.

Revlon Mascara 01

The Product:

It gives amazing length and volume, but makes my lashes still feel light and natural – not clumped with product. I do curl my lashes before hand, this will not make lashes curl naturally. I do find at the end of the day my lashes barely have any curl left to them, so if amazing curl is what you’re looking for this is not the mascara for you.

As this is the Grow Luscious formula, I have to say I wasn’t expecting anything to come of that. I’m not sure why, I’ve never used any lash “growing” formula mascaras before. I have to say, while I didn’t track to see if my lashes grew or got thicker, but I can honestly say that since I’ve been using this mascara [almost daily] I have noticed that I lose less lashes in a day. I used to rub my eyes and I would be able to knock 4 or 5 lashes out of my eyes at a time, now it’s just 1 or 2 a day. That is definitely nice to see!

The Verdict:

I would definitely recommend and repurchase this mascara. I love that it does seem to be able to make my lashes lush and stronger, and it’s a breeze to remove. I do prefer this mascara to the rest in my repertoire, in fact I threw out a couple that I don’t even touch anymore due to this one!

Are you going to try this? Have you tried this? Let me know what you think of it!
