Coco & Eve Hair & Body Care Review | Beauty

I caved to the social media advertising for Coco & Eve.

I ended up getting the Coco & Eve Glow Figure Bali Bod Bundle as well as the That’s A Wrap Bundle for the hair mask.

I’ve had my eye on getting a hair mask as well as a microfibre towel for my hair. So while I’d had my eye on the Overtone hair mask and hair towel wrap, it worked out that with the bundle and their promo for an extra hair towel wrap it worked out that Coco & Eve was the better price option.

So, why not splurge a little and get the body bundle too.

Let’s get into the fun facts about the Coco & Eve Like A Virgin hair mask!

Coco & Eve

The mask consists of coconut oil, fig and shea butter, linseed, and argan oil. It can be used as a 10 minute mask or overnight.

I haven’t used it overnight, but I’ve done the 10 minute thing in the shower (probably less because I’m impatient) and I’ve put it on for about 2 hours with the towel wrap over it. That definitely worked better! Plus it was nice to thing to add to my Saturday night self pamper night.

My hair is thick, but not overly coarse, so I do find that the argan oil still makes it feel a bit heavy. It’s not a deal breaker for me, it just means that I wouldn’t use this more than every 2 weeks.

This isn’t heavily scented which is nice. No more than a hint of coconut, so it’s not overpowering. Just refreshingly tropical. I am quite enjoying it!

It makes my hair feel amazing though. I love the two-tiered tangle tamer brush to comb through before rinsing out the mask. I love how long it lasts and it really does cut out the frizz. My hair has been struggling with the breakage and just damage in general. I think switching over to the microfibre towel helps as well. It’s also allowed me to use the hair dryer a little less as well so we’ll see how it goes!

Now the facts about The Bali Bod Bundle.

So this was a splurge and total impulse, but damn if I don’t love it. Getting the bundle meant that it came with the scrub, masque, body whip cream, spatula, and jelly silicone massage mitt.

I’ll get to the actual product further down but can I just fangirl about the silicone mitt? OMG. This literally is the best thing ever. This was also another thing I’d had my eye on getting anyways, so part of the reason I got the bundle. IT’S AMAZING. Never going back. 10/10, will always use a silicone mitt.

The Bali Buffing Sugar

From their website, the Bali Buffing Sugar uses unique ingredients of coconut flower sugar, volcanic pumice, and coconut oil to triple exfoliate, renew, and revitalize the skin. It’s supposed to help the appearance of stretch marks, cellulite and general marks. As I now have quite a few new stretch marks on my body (thanks, kiddos) I’m a little more aware of products that help soften the look. I also struggle with keratosis pilaris on my arms and legs so I find that scrubs are the overall best for me.

I absolutely love this product. The smell is 10/10, so delicious I want to eat it. I love the grain of the scrub, it’s pretty fine but does an amazing job. It’s definitely not overly abrasive when used with the mitt, a little goes a long way and it’s such a pretty colour. I notice a definite improvement in my skin after use; it’s so soft! Not drying at all and my skin feels so smooth.

The Bounce Body Masque

I’ve never used a masque on my body before, but if you use them on your face why not on your body?

I don’t apply it very thick and I’ve only used it on my tummy, bum, and thighs. I think next time I’m going to try it on my upper arms to see how it goes. It does seem that after using the mask, my stretchmarks seem less noticeable? It would be interesting to see how it works with a self-tanner and if it does make them less noticeable before application. Something to test out in the summer? It also helps reduce redness, which I definitely notice on my thighs due to my KP.

I’m a little too lazy to use this all the time; too lazy to apply and too lazy to wait the allotted time of 10 minutes. I definitely don’t mind it though, and overall think that the product works. It’s a nice added “spa” element to your routine.

The Body Moisture Whip

So in the cream form, the smell is a little bit more overwhelming. Another product where a little goes a long way, but oh she is smooth. It’s super easy to apply, absorbs instantly but is smooth to apply on the skin. I mixed it with my regular moisturizer so that I get a little scent and the coconut oil, but it’s not as overwhelming as doing my whole body. I use this product to target my “trouble” spots… mainly my thighs, butt, and tummy.

Oddly, I didn’t even look into the fragrance of this which is an oops my bad on my part. Luckily, it turned out to be a win-win because this stuff smells so delicious. It’s dragonfruit and lychee but it reminds me of Hubba Bubba tropical gum? Sweet and a bit overpowering but so yummy. It makes my mouth water. Although I can see it not being for everyone. All the products in the line are the same scent, so it is a bit overpowering when you use them all together. I enjoy the smell, so don’t mind, but I don’t use the body whip at the same time.

These products are also all vegan, cruelty-free, free of sulfates, and all the bad junk. They’re also ethically sourced, so you can feel good about the products you’re using! Something that has become higher on my radar and things to look for. Although, I’m not very consistent with that yet.

The Takeaway

The important question: Would I repurchase any of these products?

Yes. I would definitely repurchase the scrub. It’s not cheap when it’s not in the bundle ($48.90 CAD) but a little goes a long way and you don’t need to use it more than once a week. In tandem with the mitt, it’s probably the best exfoliate I’ve used and my skin doesn’t feel dry at all afterwards. Plus, the smell! It’s already something that I have in my cart (although I have another to use up first!).

I would also repurchase the hair mask. Again, it’s on the higher end cost-wise than I normally would spend ($57.90 CAD) but again, a little goes a long way. I’m sure that this would last me a good 6 months, if not more, using it every two weeks. I think I’m going to try the oVertone The Remedy mask still before repurchasing this one (as it’s half the cost of Coco & Eve).

I wouldn’t repurchase the moisture whip, not because it isn’t good but more due to the scent being stronger in the cream. The body mask is nice, I enjoyed using it while I had it, but I’m too impatient to actually use it for the time it’s supposed to be on for. I wouldn’t make the effort for it to be worth the extra time and money to repurchase.

All the other “extras” I definitely recommend the purchase of (other than the spatula because I’m so lazy for that). The hair towels are great and well, I’ve waxed on about the mitt enough for one post.

Overall, I’m super pleased with the product and definitely would recommend if you’ve been thinking about any of their products. I’m not big into self-tanners but I would assume that their tanners are just as good quality as the rest of their product line.

Let me know if you decide to take the plunge!
