Toronto :: The Nutcracker Review

What a fitting way to end the holiday season, but with a classic performance of the Nutcracker ballet?

The National Ballet of Canada does it again! Stunningly beautiful sets and costumes, the dancing was superb. I loved being able to see what the future dance stars are going to bring, and definitely not disappointed.

Marie, danced by Sophia Lisikh, was so well danced and her facial expressions were on point. Plus, if her hair is naturally that thick, long and wavy, colour me jealous. She was extremely talented.

The great thing about this one is that it’s great for all ages. I saw young ones and old ones, all dressed in their holiday best with their mothers and grandmothers. Sitting right behind us were the cutest little girls who had the cutest amount of awe when the Sugar Plum Fairy danced her way onto the stage. This one just made me smile with delight.

I am so excited for their next performance of The Man in Black! Love me some ballet!
