OwlCrate “Strange & Unusual” July Box | Stationery

It’s time for another unboxing!!

This months theme was Strange and Unusual with the promise of something from Stranger Things. Definitely an interesting theme. I’m not really one for “spooky” books, but like the theme said, it doesn’t always mean horror!

Strange

This month’s box had lots of fun goodies.

The book choice was My Plain Jane – which I have read before (I think I owned it at one point?) But I can’t remember if I owned it or borrowed it. But I do remember liking it!

So it’s very exciting to get the sequel(ish) by the same authors! I’m looking forward to reading this one. It is written from multiple POVs which is always fun to read.

There was definitely a bit of a colour theme this month too – a very moody purple!

We got a felt pennant inspired by Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children designed by Risa Rodil. I like the saying on it, ‘Stay Peculiar’. I feel like it’s a good reminder to have because being normal is overrated!

From Stranger Things, the Funko Pocket Pop keychain. I got Eleven and she’s even holding the Eggo waffle.

A cute (but spooky)http://www.bostonamerica.com/products-by-type/tinned-candies/ouija-mystifying-mints-detail tin of mints in the shape of a Ouija board which are delicious and practical.

The skull pushpins are an OwlCrate exclusive item – so cute!

The wallet with a quote from the Raven Boys trilogy from Reverie and Ink (which actually is quite useful and I’ve already used it!) It fits the essentials for a night out, including my phone.

We got a cute Luna Lovegood sticker by TJ Lubrano (which I’ve put on my Passion Planner). I love the stickers! They’re probably a favourite of mine in any box.

I love the art prints when they get added to a box too. This one is super pretty, created by Aun-Juli Riddle; I love the bookish details on the back of the whale!

I’m excited about the August box and as much as I’d like to keep on receiving these boxes, I just can’t justify the cost! Should I ask for a subscription for Christmas or birthday perhaps?

My review of the book should be on Goodreads soon! I have actually finished this one, this time!

Hint hint, Andrew!
