Travel :: Day 2 In Vancouver

Sunday Brunch! What’s a better way to start the day? And such a full day at that. We headed to downtown Van for our brunch, meeting up with Megan. YUM. Such big portions, but it was delicious. Hot chocolate, whipped cream, French toast. Delish! After brunch, we walked up and down the street a bit before Megan had to leave for work.

We then headed to the tattoo parlour for my tattoo!! So exciting. I’ve never gotten one with Mal before, she was only there for my piercings. The guy that did mine was awesome, he played music during, talked, and Patrick and Mal watched. They were impressed with how still I was able to stay. What can I say, I’m like a rock. It hurt a little bit, but not as much as I thought it would. Looks totally sick though, pleased as punch with how it came out. In the picture, it’s still really fresh. I’ll have to take another one of how it looks a week later.

After the tattoo-ing happened, we headed to Stanley Park and the Aquarium! Mal and I had gone quickly the night before but because we went so late they gave us free passes to come back then next day, which we gladly used. I love it there. It’s pretty peaceful, (not on the Sunday… way to many kids) I wasn’t able to go back into the Tropical portion of the Aquarium, they make it really humid, and with all the people in there I just couldn’t breathe. Hot flash!! So I chilled in a dark corner and just breathed deeply. Too many people, too many kids. And then when Mal and everyone came out of there we went and stared at the sharks and the big sea turtle. So awesome. Children are so rude nowadays though, barging around and bumping into people and the parents say NOTHING. No apology to us, or reprimand for their brats. As there is nothing that I can do about that other than say my kids will NOT turn out like that, we just moved on. After doing our tour of all the animals, we then wandered around the park with Ace. Longest hike ever. My legs were dying by the end of it. I’m so out of shape, and just not used to walking for 12 hours each day. I bitched a bit, but was alright. A bit overdramatic though. I was just tired from spending so much time on my feet and in the sun. It was a good day regardless.

Sea turtle and some fishies!!
Posing for the pictures! Pretty Sea Lion.

Begging raccoon in Stanley Park.

Pretty Swan in one of the many lakes.
Fantastic trip of Vancouver. We pretty much drove back to Delta, ordered pizza, and watched Hairspray. Perfect ending to a perfect day.
