Holidays :: Post-Thanksgiving Feasting

Via Tumblr.

Ahhhh… Thanksgiving is now over, and it was excellent. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, the weekend started out fantastic. Andrew and I had a double date with his friends, Tom and Jane. We went bowling, it was so much fun. I ended up winning the last game, breaking 100 and getting 2 strikes. Quite impressed with myself. Although it was midnight when we finished, and I was just so tired.

He was flying to Montreal the next afternoon, and I had to be home bright and early to drop the parents off at work so I could have the car to head to the barn! I was auditing a great clinic, that was completely amazing. It was too bad that Bridget couldn’t come with, it would have been extremely enlightening for her. But it was nice, because I got to practise my driving, and meet new people on my own. Actually made me talk to people, and I got to meet people my own age! That was nice. Maybe I can creep and find them on Facebook. (Which I just did..) It was really good. I was supposed to go out later that night, but after that full day, I just couldn’t muster up the energy. Somedays I wish that I did have a vehicle, so I wouldn’t have to subway and bus my ass around downtown. I ended up studying and chilling with the family.

Sunday I was up and at ’em bright and early to bake my Thanksgiving dinner treats. They turned out amazingly, I made a pumpkin pie and an apple pecan cake. Lots of whipped cream. Our Thanksgiving was pretty small; just my family, Oma and Andrew. Plenty of food to go around. Sadly I was slacking and got no pictures of the feast we had: roast, a small ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans. Dessert was my pie, cake, whipped cream, ice cream and specialty coffees or hot chocolate (complete with whipped cream on top!) MM. Delicious. Absolute perfection. I was just so happy that everything turned out the way it was supposed to!

Monday was exciting because I drove Andrew to the airport, by myself. Impressive, yes? Then we were lazy at home, Coby made me lunch, and then I studied and messed around on the internet. Got caught back up in Glee, watched some movies, it was a good day.

A great weekend, sadly no apple picking, but it was fun filled none the less.
