Monday was the day we trekked back to Vernon, and then just chilled, went through all of the things we bought, and talked. Pretty chill, in all. Well, the rest of the week was pretty chill. (With a whole lot of shopping).
Tuesday we spent in Kelowna, shopping again. I got some major hauls this day… *cough*. It was awesome. We hit up the mall in Kelowna, and actually spent time in the Bath & Body Works. Actually bought something (which I love!). I used to love their Japanese Cherry Blossom scent, but then it seemed a bit to strong for me, so I’ve switched. White Citrus all the way! I’m dying to get some of their delicious smelling candles though. After spending too much money, we headed back into Vernon for some dinner and relaxation.
Wednesday… sadly my last full day there. We woke up, went around Vernon, ended up at the beach. It was such a gorgeous day, sunny and hot, and so we sat on a picnic table under a tree and just talked. It was so much fun, we talked about things that we hadn’t ever talked about. It was informative, and good to look back and see how much we both have changed as people. It’s great to know that we can laugh at all the stupid things that we both did, and even look back to when things weren’t so great between us and know that it was just circumstances and that it definitely made us stronger friends.
Then it was Thursday, the day had finally come. Heading back to Toronto. It was sad, I didn’t want to leave yet. I was having way to much fun not doing work, and just shopping. Although, my bank account is probably happy I left. But that morning I packed, we watched Mean Girls while doing that, and then hopped into the car to return something I had bought the day before, and go eat at Timmies. Heading to the airport was sad, we were talking and cramming all the conversation we could before we had to go back to a life of online and texting. But, I sadly had to get on that plane. And going back to Ontario has never felt longer. Besides gaining 3 hours, having a stop over in Edmonton, and knowing that I wasn’t going to see Andrew until Sunday kinda had me bummed. Napped on the plane, hauled around an oversized September issue of Vogue, and finally landed.
I was so tired, and I always get worried when I don’t see my luggage coming out. Panicky that they might have just lost mine. Big sigh of relief when I see it, and awkwardly grab it as it weighs too much. As I roll out, looking for my parents and not 100% sure where they’re going to be, I look down for a moment to start dialling their number when someone wraps his arms around me. Andrew!! This was by far the best homecoming I’ve ever had. I was so shocked to see him there, I had to do kind of a double take. I was so happy to see him. He had made me believe that he was going to be in Ottawa, when in actual fact the work week got pushed, and he was home. He had planned it all with my mom, and even talked to Mal about it after I left. It was so, so cute. I loved it. Totally made my night soo much better.
He ended up staying the night as well. I had missed him so much. I pretty much just curled up with him and we passed out. He took me to work, and for McDonald’s breakfast in the morning. It was so awesome. Best night ever.
