Oh man oh man. Friday night… what can I say? It was a bit ridiculous. I wasn’t feeling that great, but I find that rainy weather and public transit doesn’t really go over well with me. I suck it up, but sometimes it just makes me so nauseous.
I made it to Andrew’s house in time for dinner, and talked with his parents (aka mom) and then waited while Andrew was getting ready. We were supposed to be going to Dave and Buster’s for Adam’s birthday, but not until after 10. Andrew and I accidentally fell asleep just before 10 and didn’t wake up until 11. Then we headed out, and I was so grumpy! I so didn’t want to get out of bed, so cozy! I dragged my ass out of bed though, and we made an appearance. For those who don’t know, Dave and Buster’s is an adult gaming centre/arcade. You buy tokens, and then when you win, you gain tickets and/or points which allows you to buy from the prize centre. A big money grab if you ask me. Substitute a bar instead of a jungle gym and there ya have it. Adult entertainment. I had a some fun, don’t get me wrong. It was just very loud, very crowded, and a wayyy to late. We ended up staying out til 2.30am, and Andrew had to get up at 6. Luckily I was able to sleep in, but then ended up sleeping on and off all that day. I was so cold, and had a headache.
I was supposed to go out for a friend’s birthday that night, but my headache hadn’t disappeared, if anything it was worse. I apologized and said that I couldn’t make it. I felt bad… and still do, but what can ya do. Going downtown to a bar with a headache will only be party pooping on his happy buzz anyways. So I called it a night and tried to get to bed early.
Sunday was pretty busy. Woke up and made muffins, which didn’t turn out great. Something went wrong. Then cleaned, cleaned, cleaned, watched Titanic, and then got ready for dinner. My step-brother was in town and we were going out for a family dinner. It was good, haven’t seen him in 3-4 years and it was nice to catch up. Then after dinner I headed over to Andrew’s house to watch the season premiere of Dexter (which I’ve never seen before). I was just tired, and didn’t really know what was going on, but I enjoyed it. I think I just need to start watching from the first season….
