I finally did it! I made it down to High Park to see the cherry blossoms. This year’s weather hasn’t been ideal for the blossoms, mainly because it has been heavily raining for the whole week that they were blooming best. Not ideal viewing/photography weather, and the heavy drops knocked the blooms off before they were done. Boo.
But, as it was the long weekend, I was able to get a great walk in – the weather cleared up and everyone and their mother was out in High Park. Lots of people walking, looking at the blossoms, lying on the ground having picnics. It was pretty incredible.
I also did not realize that High Park has a little “zoo” on the grounds – just a few animals, but still a lot of fun.
I cannot wait to go back and have a picnic.
