So I caved. I had been needed some new makeup stuffs for a while, as I went through my stash and threw out a bunch and some was running out. I was at Walmart, prepping for my Halloween costume, and saw the brand Marcelle. I’ve never tried it, never really heard about it, never really read anything about quality. I’m not sure what really drew my eye to it, as I was in there for BB cream.
Originally I had planned on buying Maybelline’s BB Cream as there are many good reviews about that one. In a magazine I got a sample of L’Oreal’s new BB Cream, and even though it was nice it was a little too grainy for me. And the fact that it goes from gray to the colour of your skin freaked me out a little bit. So, I was walking around the cosmetic section, Maybelline in hand, when I noticed the Marcelle section. I was drawn by the fact that they had a big sign about the BB Cream, and their stuff looked nice.
So I decided to splurge a little bit. I picked up their BB Cream, set down Maybelline’s, and proceeded to browse through their items. They had such a variety of stuff! They’re BB Cream compact was really nice too, from mousse to powder. Felt really nice and blended well. I might have to get that as well.
Then I saw their selection of mascaras, and as that is something that I actually did need, I decided to pick one up. I originally had another one, which I had to return because I bought the wrong colour, and then switched to this one. So far, so good. I really like it. It does make them look fuller and longer, but have a more natural look which is always preferred.
Then I bought another liquid liner pen. I had originally used the Maybelline one, but the tip was a little to soft so there was room for error. This one is definitely more like a pen. A fine tip marker, if you will. Applies a really nice, easy line. My only thing is that it’s not very pigmented, and I do have to go over it twice.
And last, but not least, I bought fake eyelashes. Just because it was Halloween. And I have to say I will be keeping that applicator because it made it SOO much easier to apply them. Which is the one thing that I hate about falsies. They looked awesome, and even Andrew noticed that I had them on. Haha.
