I had read another tweet about this movie, and it reminded me that I needed to watch this one. Yes, I do agree that Anne Hathaway has a terrible time keeping the accent, and it does change. That being said, I still absolutely love her. She’s gorgeous, and I think she really suited the role. If only she had a real accent. Jim Sturgess, I like him. He’s not super attractive to me, and in this role he’s good. It’s believable and it’s sad how much he gets dumped on. Although he does bring some of that on himself.
I think it’s an awesome movie. I laughed, I cried, I couldn’t believe how it ended. I should have known though, but I was totally unprepared for the ending. I’m now off to go find and read the book. I think it might be time to brush off my library card… I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a good love story, and isn’t afraid to cry.
