This summer is going to be amazing. I can feel it already.
Since grade 11 I’ve been dreaming of traveling the world. Since I started reading manga and watching anime, I’ve been yearning to go one place in particular: Japan!! This summer will be the summer I finally make that dream a reality. I’ve already started planning.
A bunch of friends are going, and some have already been there before. The guys are headed out there for 3 weeks while the girls and I (4 total) are headed out there a week later and only for 2. That’s all the time that we could get off of work. I can’t freaking wait. I have so many things that I want to do there, but I know that 2 weeks won’t possibly be enough time, so I will definitely have to go back there in the next couple years.
I bought a travel guide already and I’ve been poring over it. Reading and re-reading. Reading aloud the Japanese phrase words. I need to start listening and learning my Japanese how-to audiobook again! There are just so many places that I want to go and see, but this Friday I’ll be discussing what we do with the girls. The main part of the time we’ll be together, and traveling together, occasionally meeting up with the guys for drinks and partying.
I haven’t really looked into what all I want to do, I’ve just been absorbing information. I’ll know more “for sure” stuff after tomorrow’s meeting with the girls. Because we’re going to be going in such a peak season, we need to start getting our crap together, and booking flights, booking hotels, and getting a list together of things to be done beforehand. Start pricing out what it will cost us.
I’m so freaking pumped. I can’t stop thinking about it.
