Happy Monday Everyone! I totally just realized that I have hot chocolate powder on my fingers, which make them look really dirty… Awkward moment at work!
This weekend I was and I wasn’t productive. I feel like I got a lot done… but in between that I had a great 4 hour nap, unintentionally though. I sat down to watch a movie, and then passed right out. Must have definitely needed it. Although it meant that Saturday night I couldn’t get to sleep until 3am.
Friday I did a whole bunch of errands and bought Kumo a cat harness. I got new running shoes, indulged a little too much in Walmart, and left feeling like I’d spent way to much money. All on things that I did need, but still. Amazing how fast money just slips through my fingers lately. I bought some more baking stuffs, and I got some little things that I needed for some DIY projects. I then hit new cat lady lows while I spent Friday night taking pictures and videos of Kumo in his harness, while listening to Justin Bieber. Epic.
Saturday, I went grocery shopping. Put them away, made some lunch, and then promptly passed out. Felt like doing nothing that day once I woke up, and watched Real Housewives of Vancouver. Love this show, and I don’t care who knows. It’s a guilty pleasure, and yes, I totally wish that I had the money they do. Would make my life a whole lot easier!

Sunday was my productive day. I was up at a decent time, I got things done, I got the disappointing news that Andrew would not be home in time for our anniversary, so I baked and painted. It was productive. Also, just a little destructive to me. I hit my head on an open cupboard and zested my hand instead of the orange. That one hurt like a beeottch. And it looks pretty bad. But I carry on, making scones and a fruit tart, and while they’re in the oven I’m painting my tray and the spice jars.

The spice jars are currently still under renovation, but will post pictures when they are done! Also, the fruit tart is in pieces… I only made the parts, will be making the final product tonight. Om nom! Pictures to come some time this week! I love fruit tarts. They are probably my favourite part of summer. Nothing better than fresh fruit and pastry cream. Makes me drool just thinking about it! I really love how the tray turned out. I have one more to do, and I’m not sure if I want to do a different shape. Maybe a smaller chevron in a different colour? Hmm… Not that that will be happening any time soon, the next two weeks are full up!
