I originally had planned to do my Lush post, but I’ve been negligent on the photo taking. I actually have a couple things I still need to take pictures of and review. Sigh.
Anyways, I figured since I was just going to do a simple, quick life post. The weather here has been a little disgusting, it’s finally starting to not be so humid. Joy. Although, I find that my apartment gets really warm in the morning, so I have a hard time dressing for the weather outside! I have no idea if it’s because of the hot weather outside and the cold, cold A/C on the inside of my work, or even allergies, I’ve suddenly picked up a cold that I’m having a hard time shaking. Runny nose, sore throat, that’s what I got. Some days are worse than others, yesterday was a bad one. Nothing seemed to help the runny nose. Usually taking an allergy pill helps, [which I stupidly forgot to take today… argh] but I was still super stuffed up. But I’m still trucking, I think I passed it to Andrew, who might have just given it right back to me. Ugh. Even with the healthy eating I’ve been doing this week!
On the healthy note, I’ve been really good. I went grocery shopping on Sunday, and bought veggies and salad, buns and deli meat. I experimented with tuna, and it’s been good. I’ve eaten salad every day this week, balsamic vinegarette of course, and haven’t eaten out. Of course, it’s only the middle of the week, but so far so good!
Also, I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’m not a morning person. Ever since the first couple times I dragged my ass outta bed at 6.30 to go running, it hasn’t happened since. Every morning I set my alarm for 6.30, I hit the snooze button. Morning exercise is just not going to be my thing, unless it’s happening at 9am. Which is what happens at the cottage and I’m perfectly fine with that. So last night, after a long time of not exercising. I did it. I didn’t run, because it was a bit hot. But I did some exercises in my living room, on my yoga mat watching What Not To Wear. I recently purchased Women’s Health (with Kate Beckinsale) and I’m so glad that I did! So many exercises that don’t require weights. Yoga moves, some moves that just use your own weight. I love those. Mainly because I’m way to cheap to hit the gym or buy weights. I felt great doing it last night, and it was amazing how much my legs protested going up and down the stairs to let Andrew in! If I can just keep it up while watching tv at night, I should be alright. Maybe even incorporate a run in there? I think I should!
