Toronto :: Yoga Conference & Show

Yoga 03

It was a weekend full of yoga mats, tea drinking, organics eating yogis. Some new to the fold, some coming back and some die hards.
Yoga 02

3 days of intense yoga classes, some going for 6 hours! I went down with Briana and her friend, and did not partake in any of the classes [this year]. I had decided that I wasn’t ready to jump into a 6 hour class, especially since I’ve had a couple months off. I was more interested in seeing what the show was about, and what neat new things were being offered.

I didn’t realize that it would encompass so many different things! I had gone into the show deciding that there wouldn’t be anything that I needed so I wouldn’t need to bring cash [or spend any money]. I didn’t go crazy spending because a lot of it was geared towards yoga accessories and/or memberships, but there were a lot of vegan and natural products – beauty, clothing, food. Things that I realize now go hand in hand but I didn’t think of at the time. So I did end up buying a water bottle [since I broke my other one] and signing up for a fruits and veg delivery service.
The water bottle is actually one that I had been thinking about for a couple months. My friend told me about it, and while I wanted one I didn’t want to spend the money and shipping for a new water bottle. But since they were at the show, I got a pretty sweet deal and didn’t have to pay shipping fees. The bottle, which is called HydroFlask has a lifetime warranty, made of stainless steel, and is guaranteed to keep hot things hot and cold things cold for up to 12 hours. And since I need to up my water intake 100%, I figured this was the perfect chance. I picked one up in bright pink and it came with 2 ice stick trays so that ice can fit through the mouth of the bottle. Score!

In order to get a free bag, YogaTree was getting people to write down their intentions for coming to the show this weekend. Easy right? So many people wouldn’t do it, but I needed the bag. I was having issues posting it to social media, but that’s not important. It definitely did help inspire my mind, and now I just need to get up in the morning to do some.
