When I was last downtown and stumbled upon the #Hashtag gallery, while I was there the co-owner Graeme gave us invitations to the Love Art Toronto show.
I managed to make it down there and dragged my brother along for the ride – since he’s the artist. It was rather interesting, because it was focused on galleries in the Toronto area, as well as around the world showcasing pieces of art and artists that had works that were under $10,000. Yes, that is still out of my budget, but it was a great way to see what’s happening in the industry and a lot was in the $500 range or lower.
It was great to get out and see what’s up and coming, and also hang out with my brother for the day. Would you go to a show like this and actually purchase some art?
