Can you believe this weather we’ve had this “winter”?? Sunny days, high temperatures… please don’t bring real winter, I’m not ready!

But, to take advantage of this awesomeness that was definitely not the norm for Toronto, I decided to see what Briana was up to one weekend in November and if she wanted to hang out around downtown Oakville with me.

Excitingly, there is a spiritual store that’s in Oakville that she wanted to go to, and since I wanted to get a deck of Oracle cards, she was excited to bring me along! Along the way we did some more conventional shopping (I’m looking at you, Anthropologie). I loved walking along the main street and just browsing all the shops. So many have started the Christmas windows, so those are always pretty to look at too!

We tried on clothes in the Kind Exchange (I found a really cute tweed blazer, but couldn’t really justify that cost when I most likely won’t wear it…). I bought some beauty stuff at L’Occitane (post to come), and I’m super excited about what I bought at Akasha’s Den!

Akasha’s Den, which smells amazing with the incense they burn is a haven for anyone interested in spirituality, or just looking for some nice incense/candles to burn. They have a large selection of crystals, in all sizes for excellent prices. Briana picked up a huge piece for $40, where another store was selling a piece 1/3rd of the size for the same price! Craziness. I picked up a pretty piece of amethyst (my favourite crystal) and I’m super excited to have Briana turn it into a necklace for me!! I also picked up the Kuan Yin Oracle deck, and I can’t wait to start using it. I also purchased The Fifth Element Life Animal Kin Oracle deck (online) when I got home, because well, why not? It looks stunning!

It’s pretty awesome being so close to the cute downtown core of Oakville, and I can’t wait to go back in the summer when it’s much more pleasant to grab a coffee, and a pastry from a shop near by and walk along the lakeshore. Nothing better!
