This Is For You Review | Stationery

*AD* This is a sponsored post. I received this in return for an honest review.

It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with self-care, self reflection, and journal writing.

Even though I don’t do the journal writing as much as I should (and would like to), it’s something that I always turn to when my thoughts become too much.

Since having Kaiden, and with numero dos on the way, taking the time to sit down and just write can be a little daunting. Just write… whatever is on my mind? I’m too structured for that (which is why the morning pages concept didn’t work for me… I couldn’t just write with no goal in mind). I couldn’t get over my mind to get out of my mind, if that makes any kind of sense.

Enter This Is For You.

This Is For You

It’s a no-pressure way to journal. Broken into to seven categories, you can tackle any of the entries in any order. Whenever you want. You don’t have to complete one section first before moving on to the other, you don’t have to read the whole book and then go back and answer the questions, you don’t even need a notebook to write in the questions or answers.

I’m really loving the prompted-style journals. I like being able to go in, answer a few questions when I can/have the time and know that I’m at least getting something written. It’s definitely a feeling of accomplishment. And I’m not stuck wondering if I forgot to write down something that I might forget later.

Aesthetically, This Is For You gets big thumbs up for me.

I love the lettering, the look of the book is everything that I would look for in a journal, especially a prompted one.

It’s easy to use, small enough to fit in a purse to take on the go, and not overly cumbersome. If I spent any time on the bus, that’s where I would do most of my writing. The pages are of decent stock that your pen won’t bleed through (I do use the MUJI gel pens for all my journal writing) and it’s smooth to write on.

I keep it beside the bed to inspire me to do a quick jot in there in the morning or night. Depends on how my day is going.

Is this something that sounds like it’d be right up your alley? Find it here!
