Saturday Night Hockey

Via Tumblr. Om nom nom.
So Saturday I had decided that I wanted nachoes and wings for dinner. Since we were going to be going and watching it out at a bar (most likely) I asked Andrew if it might be nicer if we did it at his house instead, I’d make nachoes (and I’d been dying to try this salsa recipe I found online) and we’d just buy the wings and have his guy friends over instead of going out.
It did and didn’t go according to plan… Andrew and I went grocery shopping for it earlier and he went a little over board with the amount of food. I figured nachoes and wings would be enough. He started adding veggies and dip, chips and dip, shrimp rings, seven layer dip, to my wings and nachoes. We were supposed to have at least 10 people over, but that many didn’t come, and they didn’t come with the appetite that they were supposed to have! More people came over after the game, but instead of making nachoes I made a nacho layer dip for ease and since there weren’t as many hungry people.

All of my food was delicious. I’m very happy with how the salsa turned out (I have so much leftover) and my guacamole turned out amazing. So delicious. I think everyone enjoyed it, and I wish I had taken pictures. Adam ended up making this epicly huge nacho dish at like 11.30pm, and that was quickly polished off too. It was good because that used up the leftover bits of ingredients. Excellent.

Too bad the Leafs were utterly destroyed so the game was not enjoyed, but at least the food was delicious and filling!
