This weekend was jam-packed full of awesome. I was rather social this weekend, hanging out with a bunch of different groups. So I’ve fulfilled my social quota for a good bit. Hah, I really shouldn’t think about hanging out like that, because I always have a good time and never regret going out.
Outfit from earlier on in the week |
Pool on Friday night… I won quite a few games 😀 |
Saturday was spent cooking and cleaning. I was up way earlier than I thought/wanted to be up. So, I ate some breakfast, made a cup of tea and kind of floundered around for a bit. I ended up going grocery shopping first, and then started cooking and cleaning. And I used my PC points for the first time ever, saving $50 in groceries. Always a great thing, especially when money is feeling a little tight. I finally made that pot of soup, and cooked up some potatoes and sausages. I still have some chicken and beef to do something with. I’ll probably cook up that chickent tonight for lunch tomorrow. Om nom nom.
Just like momma used to make! |
And cleaning is always a good thing, and I can say that I’ve finally done most of my apartment! I’m so happy and it looks so good. So now, I just have to keep it that way. Kumo was adorable while I was cleaning, he decided that he was ready to go somewhere else. He opened the crate door, walked in, and closed it behind him. Totally adorable. I definitely aww’d for a good while. While I kept cleaning. And cleaning. And checking on my food. And cleaning some more. Still a couple places left to clean, but all in all rather productive.
All ready to go nowhere |
Although, I did sit down for a break, which turned into watching 3 movies in a row. So I guess that’s still a little productive.
Rock of Ages and a sleeping baby cat |
Sunday was up and at ’em early again, and had delicious waffles for breakfast. Sadly, not homemade, but one day. I got ready to head out and meet up with Briana for the ballet! And it was so so nice. The weather was chilly, but not super unbearable, and we were inside most of the time. We saw Alice in Wonderland and it was fabulous. Totally lived up to the hype that I’ve been building in my mind as I missed it last year. Although, it totally made me want to rewatch the latest movie version. I ended up not watching that, but regardless. Fabulous, and highly recommended [although last night was the last performance].
Outfit for the ballet |
We then headed around for dinner, deciding on Jack Astor’s. We were lucky enough to be just to two of us, and seated right away. Completely forgot that the Argo’s were playing in the Grey Cup Finals, so downtown was busy! That’s why taking the subway is so great. No waiting in traffic for crazy people to jump out at you. We actually finished our meal before the game even started, so that was good. We headed back home, and it was great being home, taking off my shoes and putting a cuppa on. As much as it’s nice to go out, sometimes in the cold it’s just as nice to be home, curled up on the couch.
Ready for the ballet to start! |
I couldn’t believe that it was snowing this weekend! On Friday there was enough snow to actually stay on the ground for a little bit, and Sunday just enough to make the roads all wet and gross.
Snowy days on my car |
I guess winter has finally decided to arrive.
