I’ve kind of shuffled this around because the apartment hunting is kind of part of the recap.. but took up a bit more writing. So today I’ll do a quick recap of the weekend.
A good chunk of time was spent looking at apartments, but as it was a nice long weekend, there was plenty of other time for family and friends.
Friday, after I spent the morning looking at apartments with mom, we picked up my aunt and headed back home. It was my dad’s retirement party, and he’d invited a bunch of his co-workers over to see the house and have some good food. Dad cooked all his delicious Chinese foods, and it was interesting to see his coworkers outside of the Bay. I totally should have used those moments to put a bug in their ears about hiring me! Although I don’t really want to be in men’s suits. Regardless… should have probably said something about that. They ended up staying quite a while, and then Tante Jo stayed until the wee hours (mom and her watched tv and chatted) and I watched RuPaul… still so addicted. Andrew came over as we had to be out of the house early to start looking at apartments!
Saturday, the morning was spent looking at apartments. We spent a good 3 hours at least looking at them, driving around, talking to the supers, it was really nice to get his input on them as well, especially since he’ll be there almost as much as I will. After we looked at apartments, we met up with HJ and Kate since they were down from North Bay for the holiday weekend for some lunch. Hung out there for a couple hours, and then headed to Andrew’s house for dinner. I stayed there for the night, because I was joining his family for Easter breakfast, and I was supposed to go out with the guys but I fell asleep around 8.30. All those late nights just caught up with me. We laid down for a bit, and I was going through some blogs and my eyes just got heavier, and heavier. Until I was out. And then Andrew’s trying to wake me up and nope, just wasn’t happening. So he went out, and then I slept. And he came and woke me up when he came home. I don’t really remember, haha. I just remember him telling me that I should take off some of my clothes (I was still fully dressed) but I wasn’t having any of it. Ah me. *shakes head*
I slept a good 13 hours, by the time I woke up the next morning. Got up for breakfast, and I was properly underdressed… But I decided that I wasn’t going to church with them so it was kind of alright. Especially since our Easter is much more casual. After breakfast, I went home and watched RuPaul and drank 3 cups of tea, showered and then went to go get him. Ate dinner, chilled with family, and remembered that I had my last math assignments due. I remembered with 4 hours left to do them… PHEW. Finished them and did really well. So that’s good. Then we went to Alex’s house to watch Game of Thrones, and hung out at HJ’s house with Kate afterwards and played a couple games of pool. I was the party pooper because I had to work the next morning. So headed home and then passed out.
