I can’t believe it, we’ve actually moved in. We spent our first night there Sunday night, and it was weird, but cool at the same time.
Weird, because we were the only ones in the house, and weird because it is OUR house. And literally cool, because we didn’t turn the heat on so it was COLD.
His sister, Julie and I spent a whole Sunday moving all the major furniture from the apartment to the house. Ultimate girl power right? Trust, my body was definitely feeling it on Monday morning. Definitely should have had an Epsom salt bath.
But we’re in. I’ve done laundry. I’ve put away clothing. The living room layout is pretty much sorted (although we should get an area rug). The bedroom is done, and I’m so pumped that Andrew’s dresser fit in the closet, and mine fits on the wall between the closet and the bathroom door. I need to start finishing off the kitchen, and deciding where everything should go.
There still seems to be a never-ending list of things to do, but we have to get some order done because we want to throw a housewarming party! I think that the best thing will be to wait for Christmas party at this point. It’s practically Christmas anyways!
I’ve been out almost every night to Home Depot, looking at light fixtures, buying floor registers, going to Ikea and getting little odds and ends for the house. This weekend I’ll be putting things in their rightful place, putting all the floor registers in, and maybe even putting some of the light fixtures up. Maybe.
Then we need to fix up the bathroom. Once that’s done I’ll be a super happy camper! More updates soon!
