Books :: To Be Read 2016

Time to update my To Be Read 2016 list!

books, 2016, to be read 2016

A new year, time for a new reading goal! I didn’t have a reading goal last year, but I think that this year I’d like to read at least 40 books. I haven’t done an actual “challenge ” in about 3 years now, so I feel like it’s time to get back into that. Last year I read quite a few books, but the list is always growing as more books come out!

Here’s what’s on my radar for the start of this year:

The Planet Friendly Diet – Cat Smiley

I’m excited for the book more for the recipes and trying to sort out my body from the inside out than actually losing weight. Just flipping through the book inspires excitement. The fact that it’s a bit more like a workbook – has daily check in pages that you can fill in and track everything; and had your shopping list and recipes all outlined to make it easier is a huge plus in my eyes. Not necessarily a “to read” book, but I’ve started the diet portion last night with Andrew, and will have a review out soon!!

Emma – Jane Austen

On my 101 in 1001 list, I have reading all of Jane Austen’s novels. My bestie got me Emma for Christmas, so I’m going to be starting that one to get me back into the classics. I feel like this year might be the one to bring me back into that. I have a list of about 350 classic titles that I need to read in my life. Might be time to get cracking on that!

Love x Style x Life – Garance Dore

One of the fashion cult faves that went around the blogging world a little while back – I’ve been a follower of Garance for years, so when she said she had written a book I knew that I would be jumping on that bandwagon! I love learning more about bloggers, and it’s like getting a peek into her past. I can’t wait to finish this one off.

Sadly, I still have some books that I haven’t touched yet from last year – got sidetracked with my YA addiction. So here are a couple more that I need to add to the above list!

Leave Your Mark – Aliza Licht

Yes Please! – Amy Poehler

My Paris Dream – Kate Betts

Winter – Marissa Meyer

What’s on your To Read list for this year? Send me your suggestions, I’ll add them to my list and we can chat about them!
