A New Chapter

BEYOND HAPPY. Right now. My life… is pretty much awesome. If the weather would get a little nicer, it would just be the cherry on top.

So cute boy calls me at work, and I have the girliest moment of life, and we made a date to see each other last night. And honestly, lamest “date” ever. I had errands to do, so I got my grocery shopping done and got my planning for my next cake done too. So we met at the mall, and then went to get some food at the food court. I chose McDonalds (because I’m a fatty and have been craving french fries), so it was not the most awesome place for a date, but it totally satisfied the craving. We ended up talking for hours in McDonalds, and really only left because they were closing. Then we walked to his truck and he drove me home and we talked for a couple more hours! It was insane. Conversation just flowed so easily with him. I mean, I’m a huge talker – don’t get me wrong – but we literally talked for SIX hours, straight. It was amazing. I feel like we had a connection.

First dates are always so awkward for me. I don’t do them very often (mainly because I don’t date very often) and so I’m never really sure what I can say or not say. How much should I think, or not think? Good night kisses? Yes or no? Should I wait for the guy to make the move or no? My biggest problem is not living in them moment. How much information does one give away on a first date? I’m pretty sure I break everything single rule… I’m googling it now, and it’s funny that the first two sites that show up are for what MEN should or shouldn’t do. I’m sure that they are unisex do’s and don’ts but it’s just funny. Pretty much I break them all the time.

“Don’t talk about exes.”- Fail
“Keep conversation light.” – Fail
Yeah, we talked about light stuff, but we also got into some pretty heavy stuff. We talked about past relationships, we talked about death, we talked about family. It was heavy. But everything seems to be similar. Like we have similar views on life. Similar experiences. Seems to good to be true.
Creepishly enough, both the boys Mal and I are crushing on, have A-names and the same last name. Creepy, bizarre, and honestly what are the chances.
xoxo
