Fruit tart! In all it’s deliciousness. I got this recipe from Brown Eyed Baker, her recipes are always so fabulous and delicious. I’ve never been disappointed by one.
Regardless, this post is about a fruit tart. I decided to make little individual ones, because they’d be easier to eat, and more accessible to me when I wanted something without having to cut and ruin the whole tart. Plus, then everyone can have their own tiny tart!
This recipe actually looks a lot more daunting than it is. It says 3 hours, but it goes a lot quicker than that. I love recipes that use machines that I have, definitely makes things so much easier. Food processing dough? Amazing. I let the dough and cream sit over night because I was a) being lazy, b) Andrew wasn’t coming over until the next day, and c) why not?
They looked so cute in the little dishes. Kya for cuteness! And the pastry cream was delicious. Om nom. Tastes like the filling of a boston cream donut. *drools*
I decided to use kiwi, and raspberries [Andrew’s fruit]. Kiwis are so delicious… And a lot cheaper than I thought they would be. 2 for $0.77 ? Can’t go wrong there!
So I made these last night, and completely failed to take pictures. Which is alright, because I epicly burnt them. So I will make them again. I’m a complete idiot and forgot to take into account that the timing I was using was for a full tart, not two small ones! Duhhhh, dumb moment. Although, in my defense I was making these pretty late. The pastry cream… is amazing. And the pastry would have been delicious as well, if it wasn’t ridiculously burnt. I have enough left over that I can make some again. Maybe I’ll make some at the cottage? Hmmm.. that’s a thought.

If I hadn’t of burned this batch, it would have been amazing. Definitely will use and reuse this recipe [found here]!
Added: I remade these, and hence why I have actual pictures. They turned out amazing once I actually watched them like a hawk!
