I’m a bad, bad blogger. This book was sent to me during a book swap last winter, and I’m just getting to reading it now. Well, just getting around to finishing it now.
And it definitely shouldn’t have been pushed and pushed as long as I did. It wasn’t even that I didn’t like it, it was just that something always seemed to come up before I could get into the book. And then, I just jumped right in and was sucked into 1940’s Nazi Germany. I don’t want to give to many spoilers but I definitely find it interesting to read it from the point of view of Death, who shows a different side of the grim reaper and a slightly unbiased view of what happened during that time. I say slightly unbiased because Death does care about the souls that he carries away, but it doesn’t matter to them how they died or what they died for.

I definitely recommend this read, it even has a little romance in there for the hopeless romantics at heart. Once I got into it, I couldn’t put it down. Go get it! And, I would suggest reading the book before watching the movie.
