Beauty :: Body Goals

I’ve had this post sitting in my drafts for a long time. Almost a year. So much so that it started with “It’s almost summer, almost bikini wearing season, and I’m feeling blah.” We’re now, again pushing into the spring/summer season, and I’ve pretty much done nothing but read this over once in awhile.

I will totally admit that I probably have nothing to complain about. I have a decent body shape. My issue is that I’m a little pudgy. I’m not as toned as I would like to be. This isn’t really the way I wanted to start talking about this, but I think once I put it “out there”, I might be more inclined to do it.

I need to get back into routine.

I’m talking everything. Exercising at home, and how I take care of my body. Food, and sleep. Sleep is currently what I’m lacking, which isn’t helping. I think I need to start looking into Rosie’s Anti-Diet a little more seriously. And all her amazing recipes.
I think next week I’m going to work my ass off to keep in line. It’s the first week of March, and there’s no better time to start than at the beginning of something. I need to exercise 3x a week, create decent meals that are well balanced, and be in bed by 11 [this is the toughest as some nights are late for me due to school]. I will do it. If I go to bed at 11 that means a full 8 hour sleep. And that’s something that I do need. I’m barely running most nights on 5 and I’m a nasty girl without sleep.

When I stopped hitting the gym 3x a week, I definitely noticed a huge difference in my body and my life. I’m way less flexible, and I’m definitely not as strong anymore. I can’t do certain poses that I was rocking back in the summer. My body position for riding is suffering, and I need to step it up. I cancelled the gym a couple months ago because it was just getting too expensive, and why bother paying for something that I’m currently not using because I don’t have time? That’s just a terrible budgeting move. The only thing is that once I get home, I definitely don’t feel like getting off the couch to do some exercises. But I should probably just do them while I’m getting dinner ready.

I shall let you know how that goes. Some times I think that I’m trying to load of up too much on my plate at once. I’m really looking forward to when school is done so that I can be home at a decent time most nights.
