What This Mom Really Wants for Mother’s Day

(Hint: It’s Not Flowers) Are you one to make Mother’s Day a big deal?
Generally, Mother’s Day isn’t a big deal. It’s like my birthday – I typically buy myself what I want when I want it. I don’t need any particular acknowledgment that I’m a great Mom who her kids love. But there are usually great deals and sales online to take advantage of!
Here’s what’s catching my eye for Mother’s Day presents
Lavigne Naturals—I’ve been slowly using up all the products in my arsenal and making a list of everything I’ve used, and 100% want to repurchase. Lavigne Naturals always lands at the top of my list. The things in my cart: Botanical cleanser, Scalp Therapy, Mayan Magic Lite (to try), and Magic Mayan Balm. They’re currently running 15% off on their site, and a free gua sha on orders over $150! Runs Until May 11th, 2026.
Damara Spa Yorkville—I could go for a massage or a facial. I’ve got a couple of appointments for osteo, but they’re not the same as a full-body massage. I had a facial from them last year and I’ve been trying to figure out a day when I can be back! My skin felt absolutely amazing. They’re having a promo on gift cards: $100 bonus gift card when you purchase a $300 gift card.
Blessed Is She – This is a little new one to my list of things I never thought I’d be asking for but here we are. I’d LOVE to have one of their note-taking Bibles. This one is just stunning, and it’s the NSRV-Catholic Edition. I’m also eying the 2026-2027 Academic Liturgical Planner, because while I love the Passion Planner, the dailies just aren’t winning me over.
NRG+ Haus – This was such a cool place. Most water therapy circuit spas are quiet (or completely silent), but not NRG+. This spa is about connection, and that means you can chat with your friends (or someone new!). They host events such as DJ sets and men’s and women’s nights. Breathwork, sound bowls, or similar practices lead their entire circuit. They have a cute little lounge and bar, offer vitamin drips, and serve non-alcoholic beverages. Their cucumber mojito is delicious! I don’t know if I’d ever do a vitamin drip, but they are reasonably priced.
I mean, I could have a list the length of my body in things that I want.
But what things do I need? Just the face stuff. I’ll add the other items to the wish list. There are plenty of opportunities throughout the year to get some of the wants off the list.
What did I ask for?
I want a day when I don’t have to think about dinner; what to make, how to make it, and cleaning up after it. I said, “Just don’t let me have to decide on dinner, and I’ll be happy.” I think this year Andrew is planning on taking the boys up north for the weekend, and I’ll be helping out around the barn prepping for an event. Win-win, right?
Hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day, to all who celebrate!
