Now that I’m seriously caught up, the weeks just seem to be slipping right on by now that the final weeks of the year are upon us. Time just doesn’t seem to last long enough!
Friday was my company Christmas party/dinner, which I brought Andrew out to meet everyone. He was a little nervous, I think, because everyone knew of him, so it is nervewracking that way. Every one loved him though, and thought he was very nice and confident. I introduced him to majority of my coworkers, and he talked a good deal with all of my bosses. It’s really nice because they all have something in common with him, since my bosses own cottages, boats, snowmobiles, etc. They talked about work, and programs, and trips. It was nice. And I didn’t always have to baby him through it, I was able to have my own conversations, and him his. Afterwards, we went to his house, and just chilled and watched some tv.
Saturday was his mom’s birthday, so I went home quickly to do some baking and then went back to his house for her birthday dinner. Om nom nom. It was yummy and full of good conversation. Then all his friends came over and we went out to a bar. It was fun, ate delicious wings and nachoes, had a good time with his friends, got a little upset later when he had a little too much to drink, and then drove my ass home. I had to get home for Kumo and was baking in the morning.
UGH. Sunday was such a terrible, stressful day. I had so much to do, and so little time to do it in. I was stressing like mad, especially since my baking was not turning out at all like it was supposed too. I had another Christmas party to attend too, and was running seriously behind schedule. I was bringing macaroons, and they just weren’t rising! I was in a panic. On the verge of tears, I managed to restart them and get them done and they turned out perfectly. So, so relieved. Still running late, I got my brother to wrap my Secret Santa gift, and then ran out the door. I arrived just in time for the demos and all the excitement. Phew. I love this barn, it’s so relaxing and chill. Everyone talks with everyone and it’s such a great vibe. And it’s nice that they try to do things more than once a year so that everyone can see each other. I really wish that I could afford to ride more next year. I’ll have to see on the work load of school.
Thankfully, I came home and was awesomely relaxing, even though I didn’t do any of my homework, it’s all good and I got to see Andrew last night as well. Even better. A great ending to a not so great start of the day.
