Weekend Recap

Blogging and Kumo.

Ahh back to the Monday grind. No more sleepy times with the cat in the afternoons. Yesterday I was pretty darn productive… I cooked, cleaned and played some ball. It was really good. Watched a bit of tv, and made lunches for the week. I feel so homelike.

Saturday was even busier… It’s like I don’t even get weekends anymore. Who needs them right? Saturday morning I had an appointment at the bank to set up some more accounts, and then headed straight to picking up Coby to go to his G1 (and get me my temporary license). UGH. Our government needs to figure something out because waiting 4 hours to do a written test (and get a printout license with a sticker..) is unacceptable. It’s Saturday, I knew it was gonna be busy, but that’s just ridiculous. But that’s another rant for another day. Sigh. Turns out, it made me late for Nana’s 90th birthday party.. Which really sucked, but what can ya do?? I quickly dropped Coby off and rushed (safely) to the party. Fashionably late. But it was a lot of fun, with really good food and I got to meet even more of his family. I don’t really remember anyone’s names, but I’ll remember their faces.

After that, I rushed home to pick up Coby again and we went to the theatres and I finally saw The Hunger Games. I actually quite enjoyed it.. I don’t know why, but I didn’t think I would like it that much. I think probably because after I read the books I kind of fell out of love with the series. The first one was still amazing. I just wasn’t as enthralled with the rest of the books. But that’s just my humble opinion.

I went to the house after that, dropped Coby off, and had a quick cup of tea/chat with Mom. Always nice, especially that I don’t see her often. Although, I’m impressed with how much we do still talk. And how often I go over there. I’m gonna get my hair done, and laundry done while I’m there this week. Why not… Until they have to move, I might as well save money until then.

Friday night, went out with Andrew and the boys for nachoes and beer (although I was the amazing DD so I only had pop… and salad). It was fun, but it’s always a little boy-ish because they all (for the most part) work together so they bitch talk about work. Which doesn’t always interest me so I kinda tune them out and play the trivia games. Or eat food. Or both. We actually stayed out later than we wanted to, but that’s alright. Just made things a little more tired and rushed in the morning.

I hope everyone has a happy Monday!
