I didn’t write about the last time I purchased from Truly Tallow, and they’ve rebranded their products since then!
The last time I made a Truly Tallow order, I only bought the Calm Balm, as I love the idea of a magnesium-infused cream. I also bought the Sun Balm, a non-nano zinc, because I’m crunchy enough to know that sunscreen is a no-go!
I’ve been following Truly Tallow on Instagram for a long time and I’m very excited about their current line-up of products! They’ve done a slight rebranding of their logo, as well as updating a lot of the products and adding new ones.
I know I’ve talked about another tallow brand (Two Of The Earth Tallow), and you might ask, “How can I be so excited about multiple tallow brands? Aren’t they the same thing?”
The answer to that would be an emphatic “No!”
They might be tallow-based companies, but the formulas and scents and products are so completely different.
Truly Tallow offers a higher selection of blended tallow products.

They have products for everyone: kids, women, and men. They also target different health niches.
Their men’s product, All-in-One Men’s Face + Body + Hair, has been in my shopping cart for a long time. I knew that I wanted to get Andrew something cleaner for his skin. He follows the very manly routine of never washing his face with anything other than body soap and never applying cream. But he does complain about dry skin, especially when we utilize the hot tub consistently in the winter. This smells fantastic. It’s not overwhelming, and while it does smell strong in the tin, it’s not overpowering on the body. Of course, it has the glorious tallow benefits and a little goes a long way. It also complements Andrew’s deodorant, which is just a bonus.
If you’ve followed me for any time, you’ll know that I have difficulty turning down a bundle of products.
The Glow Bundle consists of their Unblemished tallow face cream and the Dead Sea Salt + Citrus exfoliant. Two products that I was very interested in trying. I wanted to see how the Unblemished face cream compared to the tallow I used. I’ll do a comparison post about them, but as an oil cleanser to remove make-up, Unblemished is by far the best one. This is the only makeup remover that doesn’t burn my eyes at all. Hands down, this one wins for that. I’m on the fence about it as an actual face cream, mainly because of the ingredient squalane.
This sets them apart because I have not seen a tallow that uses squalane as an ingredient thus far. My skin is hit or miss with squalane, generally leaning towards miss, and not usually working for me. In my opinion, that’s why it makes it a superior oil cleanser.

The Dead Sea Salt scrub is a huge win. It makes my skin feel super smooth; the salt scrub dissolves nicely. When using a tallow scrub, as it’s an oil, it almost creates what feels like a barrier and makes the scrub portion feel like it’s not doing anything. Not with this guy. Because the salt dissolves, it feels like it’s exfoliating without being harsh or leaving a residue. Plus, the grapefruit essential oil scent smells so fresh! A nice little mental energy boost no matter what time you use it.
I already had the Lip Balm from another order, and I swear by it.
It got me through the winter and super chapped lips, Mexico from getting a little too much sun, and it’s so nice to put on before bed like a lip mask. I have it in Vanilla and Peppermint (this scent is my go-to), and it’s the only balm I put on my lips. It’s so moisturizing.
They had a promo to get a travel-sized tin of the Body Butter, and I chose the scent Vanilla and Peppermint. It is SO good. I used this on my body and the vanilla smelled so smooth, not artificial. The peppermint left a cooling tingle on my skin. I would 100% repurchase this just for the smell alone. I love the whipped texture, and it felt amazing on my skin. 10/10.
Truly Tallow does not miss!
Overall, I’m so pleased with every product from them. I would repurchase any of these in a heartbeat! Plus, this is a small, women-owned Alberta business. Support local and Canadian!
I’m also waiting for the deodorant to come back so I can try it out; they’re currently reformulating it. But they’ve confirmed that it will return—just to be determined! I would love to try their tattoo balm as well, but I don’t need it (yet).
They’re a brand to watch. If you’re Alberta-based, I would follow them on Instagram to see when they are at local shows and where they have retail stockists.
What are your thoughts on using tallow? Have I converted you yet?
Keep an eye out for my brand comparison post soon!
