CN Tower |
So this was a little bit of a let down, just because I initially thought that it was on a roof top. Not that it was in a parking lot, and there was no roof. Poor communication there. Anyways, the venue was right on the waterfront, and was pretty spectacular view-wise. It was a little chilly once the sun went down, but it was definitely an interesting night.

Walking along the lakeshore |
Opening night, on Thursday, they aired The Sheepdogs Have At It. The Sheepdogs also performed an acoustic set before the documentary. I’ve never really listened to their music before, as I don’t listen to the station they normally air on. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It’s definitely something that I’ll be adding to my playlist. It was a good night out, even if they didn’t play for very long.

The Sheepdogs! |
The down fall was that because it was outside, the sound didn’t travel very well while they were singing, or talking… but none the less, it was still a lot of fun. We stayed for quite a bit of the documentary, which was interesting, but as I’m not to interested in the behind the scenes of the Sheepdogs, we didn’t stay for all of it.

Sheepdogs and the skyline! |
Probably for the better, as we were leaving a gentleman asked us where we were going. He then told us that there was a water-laser show happening in a couple minutes at the fountain and that we should check it out. So my bro and I went up close to it while the others stayed further back. Now, this was really cool! They had a projection screening images on to a water fountain, and then lasers and different levels of water spouts. It ended with a fabulous firework display.

Traditional poutine |
Of course, a night downtown wouldn’t be complete without some kind of food intake, so we headed to Smoke’s Poutinerie for some hearty fries and gravy.
I’m totally loving these random nights out!
