Skrillex touched down in Toronto’s TD Echo Beach concert venue for his Mothership Tour!
For an all ages (16+) event, I couldn’t have been happier with everything that went down during Skrillex’s Mothership tour. His opening artists were Milo & Otis, and Dillon Francis. I’m not so good with the DJ’s names, so who’s opening really means nothing to me. It’s all about whether they can bring down the house.
I’ve never been to a concert at TD Echo Beach before, but it was extremely large and bonus! on a beach. The opening acts were good, but it was interesting because of it being outside in the sunshine, the light effects were a little bit wasted. But once the sun went down, and Skrillex came on, the lights were incredible.
It’s interesting because while I’m a huge fan of EDM now, I never used to be. I couldn’t stand it! But I guess I’ve just gotten older and now really enjoy the DGAF attitude at these places. Everyone dances like no one is watching and the atmosphere is usually amazing. Even when it’s underage. People are so friendly, and we met this really nice girl at the bar while trying to get me caught up. Side note: I have found the perfect combo to get me intoxicated quickly.
