Toronto :: AnimeXtreme

Business Card

While walking on our way to the Chinese restaurant that Briana wanted to show me, I noticed this little hole in the wall anime/manga/Japanese store. I mentally remembered it, and mentioned to her that I wanted to go see it.

And boy, am I glad that I went back! What a treasure trove that I stumbled upon. Obviously, I’m not the first nor the last to find out about this place, but I am so, so excited that I found it and will definitely be frequenting it often.

I’ve often lamented the fact that I can’t find Japanese music anywhere, and if I do it’s usually way to expensive. Well. AnimeXtreme had a lot of the soundtracks for anime, and at a reasonable price. I scooped up one for Gundam Seed Destiny, yay.

Hands Off!
While browsing the racks, a couple manga’s jumped right out at me and I scooped them up quickly. I haven’t been able to find Magic Rayearth 2 anywhere, and so when I saw it, I almost couldn’t contain my squeal of happiness. Oh joyous day! Then, around the corner, I found the prequel series packaged together for a steal at $15.00. Sign me up! I would have taken more home with me, but I didn’t reeally need it… But I might look into other series that aren’t that popular at Chapters. It was also nice to see some more manhwa [Korean] since I’m a big fan of those too. I should probably pick up another Korean series too. But that’s for another day!

Rayearth

I had such a good time browsing the crowded racks looking for something to just jump out at me and beg me to take them home. I had to hold myself back from buying all the cute posters etc, since I’m trying to have a grown up apartment.
