Routine. It’s something that I wanted to start doing more consistently in this new year, and so far, I’m doing great.
Yes. It’s only 11 of days into the year, and I’m usually always pretty good the first week, but this feels different somehow? Maybe because of the amount of change that’s going to be happening this year, routine is something that my body is wanting to get into before it gets throw out the window.
I’ve been updating my daily routine to include:
x Eating breakfast daily (yogurt, berries and Vector are my go to during the week!)
x Wearing more jewelry
x Putting make up on for work every day
x Taking my makeup off as soon as I get home!
x Cleaning the dishes as I’m making dinner, and not waiting until too late at night (or the next day) to wash them
x Prepping lunch and breakfast the night before
x Writing before I go to bed
Seems like small things, and maybe things I should’ve been doing for a much longer time than starting now… but hey – better late than never, right? This is all kind of leading up to my ‘minimal’ lifestyle that I’m aiming for this year.
Next, I just need to start incorporating some exercise into this routine, and I’ll be golden! Although, I have a yoga class starting at the end of the month that I registered for, and hopefully will be able to start adding a once a week class to my life. Gotta have a look at my budget first though. New year, new start! Time to cut out the excess!
