I’ve been thinking about where I want to take this program, and how I want it to turn out. I’ve been thinking that I’m going to complete the General Business diploma, but because I’m mainly focusing on marketing anyways, I might as well suck it up and do the six courses extra to get my Marketing Diploma. Sounds good? It means I’ll still be done in 2015, just winter, instead of spring. I think I can deal with that. Regardless of how I feel when that time comes [haha I might just be tired of school by then], I’ll still always have the Busines General.
Anyways, before I get too ahead of myself, computers. Slowly killing me. The only good thing about this is a) once we finally get to Excel, and b) I can finish all the homework in class. Which is always good, even though the teacher is nattering on in the background, going slowly for other people to catch up.Last week we had a quiz, and it was beyond easy. If you did the project the week before, you were golden. The sad thing? People were still not cool with it. I mean, it’s PowerPoint… It’s not the hardest program in the world. After the quiz, the computers were all having issues due to the fact that most people didn’t hit “run” for the Java program… So they couldn’t upload. I figured it out… Woot I’m so smart. Thank goodness we’re finally starting to get into Word… Everyone should know this one right??
Human Resources last week was a joke. Literally. I showed up for class to learn that we didn’t have class. All we had to do was work/finish on our group project (if we hadn’t already done that). So I’m the first one from my group to arrive, and thank goodness the next guy from my group that shows up has a laptop. So we quickly get everything organized, make the finishing touches, and email it to the teacher. And then leave!
This week was really good for getting home early. Even with my lesson I was home earlier. Although, not really. She moved my lesson to an hour earlier, which was nice, and then once I finished I went and met up with Andrew and Mikey while they ate dinner. It was good to see Mikey again. Hah, felt like I hadn’t seen him in ages. This week’s lesson went really well too. I’m getting better [a little], and even though it feels like I’m taking some giant steps backwards, I can also take itty-bitty steps forward. It was good because I’m starting to analyze my riding again. I think I’ve just been floating by for a bit, not really taking it seriously [but serious enough], and now it’s time for me to get down to business. Although, somedays… it’s honestly tough to deal. You just don’t have the energy or the drive to want to fight for it.
This week there was no computers due to the fact that it was a holiday [woot], and this week’s HR was done by 7.30. He talked, we took notes, and then we watched a movie that I texted through. And then we went home. It’s pretty awesome because there’s a test in the next two weeks, and next week is review. So no homework this week either! It’s almost too easy…
