Recap :: Weekend No. 7

Via Facebook.

Happy Monday! Especially here today, as it is Family day long weekend. Yup, sounds kinda lame, but at least it’s something to look forward too in the (usually) dreary month of February.

This weekend, was really good. Friday was interesting, as I got to spend some quality one-on-one time with Andrew’s family. I was heading up to the cottage with Thomas this week, since Andrew was meeting us there. Thomas originally thought he’d be done work before I would arrive for dinner at his house, but work had some problems and there was an issue with gas and money, so he was late. So I ended up having quality time with his parents. Which is probably a really good thing, as I don’t really see them that often and never without Andrew there. Dinner was yummy, and it was fun to just talk and watch tv with his dad. Thomas arrived (a couple hours late) ran around and then we left. I enjoy hanging out with Thomas, he’s like every other guy (pretty much). We talked about his car, roller coasters, work, school, bad drivers, pretty much everything and nothing. Just random, idle chit-chat that passes the time, kinda lets you get to know a person, and had a good time.

We actually arrived at the cottage before Andrew, even with us leaving so much later, and brought everything inside. We got there pretty late, so we didn’t really do anything. Andrew finally arrived, and Wes came over and hung out for a bit. I don’t even remember what we really did.. I do remember us going to bed pretty late, deciding to go snowmobiling in the morning, and then Andrew and I went to bed. Wes and Thomas stayed up until some God-awful time in the morning playing video games… I slept like a rock. I love sleeping with Andrew, he keeps me warm all night. Especially in those cold winter nights!

He woke me up in the morning to let me know that breakfast was ready, and then we started getting ready for our snowmobile outing. Which turned out to be almost a fail because something on Andrew’s sled exploded. Not cool. He was so upset. Thomas was nice enough to let us take his out for a ride, and he went on Mikey’s to Wes’ house. What a nice brother. I had a lot of fun, and wasn’t even that cold, although.. my hips were dying. And my knees. That makes me sound like such an old person but I was literally like a jockey on the back, and he wasn’t any less cramped either. We’re gonna need a bigger sled… I was also negligent on the taking of pictures… I don’t know when I’ll be up there next.. One day I will get on that better… *cough*

After our sledding tour of the trails, we had some lunch, one of his friend’s from the lake dropped by and then I took a nap. I had a pounding headache, and went to go lie down which ended up with me sleeping for 3 hours… Oops! Andrew and Thomas made dinner, we ate, watched the Leafs get merked by the Canucks (we actually didn’t watch the whole game, the guys were dying a little lot inside with how they were playing), and then watched Thomas play Worms. Andrew had to be on a flight to Montreal by 12, so we left early Sunday morning (8 am, ugh) and I was home by 11. Slightly shocking, I’m never home that early.

To which then I did absolutely nothing… That’s the life right? How was your weekend?
xoxo
