Alright, Christmas is officially over. But somehow, the spirit is still lingering. The next thing to look forward to is New Years, and the passing of another year.
2013 wasn’t a terrible year for me. Sure, it had ups and downs, but what year doesn’t? I turned 25, I moved in with my boyfriend, and I am that much closer to finishing my diploma.
But this holiday has been pretty chill, I haven’t really done much except trot around to family’s houses and eat food. Lots of air kissing, and the wishing of Merry Christmases were heard all round. As this was the first Christmas spent together with Andrew on Christmas morning, it was something of a special time. We don’t have stockings, but perhaps that will be something that we do next year. Definitely have lots of time to decide what kinds of traditions we want to start. Perhaps we might have a place to keep said stockings next year.
We did get a tree up, and I have yet to do the What’s On Your Tree tag, but that is coming, I swear! Andrew keeps saying that he wants the tree to stay up all year round, but I don’t think I’m ready to do that… I haven’t reached that level of hillbilly yet. I bought lights, but they never made it up either. I wish I wasn’t so lazy/busy. Definitely going to try to make that one of my goals for the new year.
