A View to die for |
This weekend was amazing. It was exactly what I needed. I was able to completely step away from school work and just think about nothing except doing some yoga, chilling on the beach, and maybe learning a new board game.
Briana, Coby and I headed up late[r] on Friday night, running a bit behind because things didn’t run quite as smoothly as I wanted them to, but hey, what can ya do. We make it there in good time, but arrive around 11.30 at night. Andrew’s already passed out in bed, and everyone is drinking and having a good time. I didn’t stay up to much later as I needs ma beauty sleep and I wasn’t really interested in starting to drink that late. I made sure that everyone had a bed, and then I headed to bed.
Learning to play Rummikub |
Saturday morning dawned nice and rainy. So after a late breakfast of waffles, to which the power then went out and totally fried the waffle-iron [oh ya, broken after only 1 week] we lounged around [aka we unrolled the yoga mats and did some impromptu stretching] waiting for the sun to come out. While it didn’t come out completely, we were able to get out on the dock and lie in the UV rays, and did some more yoga. I am impressed with how much more I am able to do, and I am so excited to break them out during my next yoga session. Go us!
Yoga time |
Sunday was the real beauty though, sun shining all day and hot. A little bit of a later start to the day, so I immediately jumped on the dock and started getting my tan on. And some yoga on. We got some amazing pictures of us in poses, I’m so impressed! I can’t wait to share them. Andrew is a very good amateur photographer. Then we got kicked off the dock because the boys started adding more pieces to it, and so we chilled around on the rocks and drank mimosas.
An intense game of Risk |
Around dinner time we headed home, and back to reality. And so another week begins, and it’s a little sad to leave that glory behind. But here’s to many more this summer!
