Recap :: Weekend No. 24

Ughhh Monday. I was so not looking forward to your arrival. Friday was so amazing, I had so much energy, and was super pumped for the work day and the weekend. I headed straight to Andrew’s house (I picked up something quick at my place first) and then updated all of my parents info at his house. Andrew hadn’t arrived home yet from work, so I ate dinner with Thomas and his parents. Always a fun, loud time. Rob called me asking if I could play ball that night, but as he called me at 6.30 for an 8pm game, I had to decline.

After dinner, Andrew and I went to go donate blood. It was my first time [due to a myriad of reasons, mostly because I continually get tattoos and piercings], but Andrew is an old pro. They ask you a whole bunch of questions… and then make sure you’re perfectly healthy to donate. I’ve got low blood pressure, so they said that it would take a bit longer for my blood to come out. Unlike Andrew who can pump it out in about 10 minutes. Crazy boy. Anyways, we donated our life source, and then went home. A bunch of his buddies were all coming over, but I was so tired that I went home around 11.30. In bed by 12, passed out by 12.01. Andrew didn’t go to bed until 3 or some crazy hour like that.

Such a good manly man, bbq-ing like a pro!
I was up Saturday morning and did a little run and some exercises, and then woke up Andrew to go drop some things off for my mom. Dad took us out for lunch afterwards, and then Andrew dropped me off so he could go work on the basement and I could putter around my apartment. Alex’s birthday was that night as well, so I made some time to get ready for that and I was a little overdressed for it. That’s alright though, because I made the decision that I was going to drink! I rarely ever drink when we go out because I’m usually the one driving. But because I wasn’t, I was drinking! I had a couple amaretto sours, and I think that the guys find me funny when I drink. I didn’t drink anything at Alex’s because the main drink was beer and rum, and I don’t drink rum. Regardless, it was fun. Andrew got ridiculously wasted in the first part, smartened up and drank a lot of water, which helped sober him up for the rest of the evening. He’s turning into a little bit of a light weight, me thinks. He just blamed it on the fact that he donated blood. We went home inbetween the backyard party to downtown, and we were seriously contemplating not going back out [we made the fatal error of lying down]. But it was his friends, and they would seriously bitch him out if he didn’t so we got back up. Ran for the subway [which brought back our energy] and then we headed downtown. The night didn’t go exactly according to plan. The bar we originally were going to go into was completely full, so we ended up just walking down the street to a patio and drinking there. Then when the night was done there, we ended up at Smoke’s Poutinerrie, and mowed down on delicious poutine. I can never finish mine, and always end up taking it home. You’d think I’d learn… Finally made it home around 3 and then passed out. Such a long day!
Sunday was a day of pure laze. We slept in, hung around his house, went and did some errands, and then I rushed home to go get ready for my dad’s day dinner. Mm Chinese food! Only, too much oil! Sigh, I’m not used to that kind of food anymore. It was good to see the family, and after dinner Andrew and I went out to go to this feast at his church. It was very Italian, and we met up with some of this friends from high school, and watched the fireworks. Super pretty! We headed back to my place and then went to bed. He had to drive Thomas’ truck, and Oh.My.God. So uncomfortable. It’s so lowered that it hits every bump and makes it 300x worse.
I hope that everyone had a great weekend, and had a great Father’s Day! I so can’t wait for this work day to be over… Hectic busy!
