Recap :: Weekend No. 21

Happy Monday! I was so excited that this weekend I’d actually be home, and I’d be able to do things around the apartment, which I finally was. I made the apartment all purty and clean on Saturday. I didn’t do as much organizing, and it’s kind of a disaster already, but it was clean for a few hours.

Friday night, Andrew was home! I was so excited, I made dinner for us, and then we just chilled. Watched some tv, talked about life, and caught up on each other’s weeks. I bought some champagne, because it’s my new favourite drank, and I’m in love with my new wine glasses. This summer I will have a supply of champagne and orange juice always on hand.
Saturday, Andrew left to go do some work, I was up and cleaning. Although I procrastinated a little in the morning, because I joined the Better Blogger Network, and I was totally creeping around. But then I buckled down and got a lot of cleaning done. I was happy and impressed. Then showered and got ready for my night out with the barn ladies! We were headed to see Cavalia.
In the big tent
It was gorgeous. Sold out show, and it was amazing. Lots of eye candy for anyone, even the less than horse inclined. Acrobats, and riders doing amazing things where you’re like… How is s/he doing that!? They make it look so effortless! Amazing! It even had a little audience participation. I mean, it was different from the first Cavalia in the fact that the main people aren’t there anymore. So there were some disappointments, mainly with the riding. But if you weren’t a rider, you wouldn’t notice the little flaws here and there, but overall it was good. Some of the horses just weren’t happy either, so it was interesting to see how they reacted when the horses didn’t do exactly as they were supposed to.
Tour of the stables? Maybe… not.
Sunday was almost a comedy of errors. I had a bit of a sleep-in, which was awesome since Andrew and I were up until about 3am. Andrew left to go get a carpet, and I started to organize my laundry. And then headed downstairs with a load, only to realize that a) I don’t have a card to use the machines and b) the elevators were outta commission, and c) I have way to much laundry. I was almost contemplating not even doing laundry, but spur of the moment decided that I really did need it done, and I’d just go to a laundromat. I need to get it better organized for sure. Sucks because 95% of my clothes don’t go into the dryer, except for maybe 10 minutes to fluff them up. So I bought myself a drying rack (or two) and hung all my clothes. Sigh. What a hassle. I either have to many clothes, or waited to long to do my laundry. I think I’m going to make Friday my laundry day.

Cut my hair this weekend… Lighter and shorter for summer!

How was everyone’s weekend?
