Life :: Week No. 16 – TV Show Reviews

What a crazy whirlwind of a week. Seemed to go by way to quickly, and I’m quite enjoying the fact that I had one whole week off already from school. Woot. It’s amazing how productive one can be when one actually has the time to do something, and one’s not coming home at 10.30 most nights. On the plus side it looks like my schedule will be pretty much the same, only 1 class in class – two online. We’ll see how that goes but they’re only being offered online right now.

Anyways, it was Easter this past weekend, and I’ve yet to mention it on this here blog. It was spent with family and good food, and not as busy as others have been. Friday was a cousin’s birthday, and Sunday was when all the Easter fun happened. Nothing too exciting, brunch with my family and dinner with Andrew’s.

As part of these recaps, I’m also going to try to include the books, movies, tv shows, and music that I’ve been around in the month. We shall see how this goes for now, and then I can make changes as needed!

So this month, I’ve been binge watching more tv than I have movies so this list is a little long!

Young Justice – Sometimes you just need a cartoon to watch. And once I started, it was extremely easy to power through the entire first season. Sadly, the second season is not yet on Netflix, so I still have to finish it, but I’m in love. The premise is the teens, or sidekicks of the Justice League are given a team of their own, and are the secret operative spy team. Lots of drama, a little romance, and there might even be a Live Action version on CW? If so, I would definitely be interested in watching it.

Justice League Unlimited – Once I finished Young Justice, I wasn’t ready to stop watching cartoons. I used to watch this one every Sunday morning as a kid, so it’s kind of nice to relive it. It’s also a little embarrassing to see how much of the show I still remember. Not quite as far in to this series yet, but this one revolves around the adult superheroes and the foes they battle. Always interesting to see the Wonderwoman/Batman romantic vibes.

House of Cards – I have to say that I love to hate this show? I dunno, politics never interested me but this one just sucked me in. The characters are all so devious but I love it. I haven’t finished the first season yet, but I’m getting close. I don’t want to give to much away, but this is definitely an amazing show and a must see recommendation!!

Archer – I hated this show with such a passion when I first saw it, but then it started growing on me, and now Andrew and I are watching this from season 1, and it kills me. It’s hilarious. It’s not for everyone, because it’s probably everything that’s politically incorrect with this world, but it’s well done. Archer has to be the worst secret spy ever, because he tells everyone that he’s a spy. But somehow he’s equally feared and disdained by all of his enemies. The American cartoon version of James Bond?

Have you watched any of these? Do you have any suggestions on what I should watch next?
