Peace Out, May | Life

Gosh, where did the month of May go?

It was a pretty crazy month – travel, birthdays, getting sick, and it just seemed to pass by way too quickly.

The biggest thing is probably the fact that my baby boy is not so baby anymore! He turned one this month, and we had a huge party for him. Silly ol’ me completely forgot to take any pictures and any video. I was so overwhelmed by rushing around to get everything set up and make sure that Andrew and I had everything together. Between that and people arriving and hosting the party it just completely slipped my mind.

I didn’t even get a picture of the decor!! Absolute fail. I will have a post about the whole planning of his birthday though!

But I’ve got lots of stuff from when we travelled which is exciting. Unfortunately, we all picked something up and when Andrew got home from Calgary the entire family was out of commission. My first Mother’s day was spent hugging the toilet. Yay! Let’s be real – ain’t nothing glamorous or exciting about that! Plus, it swooped around a couple times so it was a bit of a slow recovery process. Fingers crossed that it doesn’t come back again!

Hmm… what else happened in May?

We went up to the cottage for the long weekend (Victoria Day) and it rained and was a bit buggy so we didn’t really get outside much. But as it was the “official” start to the cottage season it was great to just get up there. I’m looking forward to (hopefully) a nice hot summer up north!

May

Exciting things are coming up in June though!

I’m going to see the ballet again (Frame by Frame), and there are birthdays and bridal showers galore. This summer is a busy one for events. I’m super pumped for the start of summer!

I’m also back writing letters again (ever the slow penpal) and getting back into PostCrossing. I’m pretty pumped about that. Feels good to be doing the #snailmail thing again.

How was your May? Anything exciting happen? Let me know!
