Review :: Music On Repeat

So last weekend I went searching for some new music to put onto my ancient iPod touch [2nd gen, whatt!] and this has been what I’ve been listening to on repeat for the past week and a half.

Natalia Kills – Trouble
She is amazing. I found out about her back in the day when her first album, Perfection, came out. Perfection was good, but Trouble is [in my opinion] So. Much. Better. Sometimes I find that the first album that you listen to and like from an artist is usually the hardest one to beat, but she does it with ease. Her voice is unique and catchy, and her lyrics are catchy too. Song after song is a winner, and I love blasting it during the weekend and dancing cleaning around the apartment. She has quite a few music videos up for her songs, and I would suggest checking them out as she’s pretty big into fashion as well and always have some cool outfits.

Gotta listen to: Trouble, Watching You, Saturday Nights, Problem

Avicii – True
Ah, Avicii. For a girl who a couple years ago would not have touched this music, Avicii has found a little place in my heart. I saw him back in 2013 and loved all of his stuff. I recently realized that he had an album out, and as I’m loving ‘Hey Brother’, I figured it’d be worth the listen. And it definitely is. A good mix of lyric songs to just plain beat songs, it’s one that hasn’t stopped playing on my iPod. He also has quite a few videos out for his songs that aren’t all on the radio.

Gotta listen to: Hey Brother, Addicted to You, Liar Liar, You Make Me

Passenger – All The Little Lights
I never thought that I’d like their stuff,but after the song ‘Let Her Go’ started to grow on me, I decided that I should try and listen to the rest of their stuff. And I was pleasantly surprised. Their lyrics are witty, and make you smile, and the indie-acoustic sound is very relaxing and fun to listen too. It’s pretty much a direct contrast to the two albums listed above, but it really can’t be compared because of being in a completely different genre. Definitely worth a listen to, even if it’s not your favourite genre. Who knows, maybe you’ll love it!

Gotta listen to: Let Her Go, Staring at the Stars, The Wrong Direction
