Movie :: The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

Via Google Images and Wikipedia

This movie I probably should have waited to watch with my mom, because we would have had a great time watching it. I loved it, and my mom loved it. She said that every one of those characters reflected her in some way.

I’m a huge fan of Judi Dench, and pretty much never complain about any of her movies. I could though, totally see my mom jetsetting off to India and starting a blog. Just to keep in touch. It would be nice to have a place to visit.

This movie definitely had lots of laughs, and lots of tear jerker moments. I enjoyed that if followed all the characters fairly evenly, and there was lots of twists. The one character that I truly didn’t enjoy was Penelope Wilton’s. I don’t think many people were supposed to like her, she was desperate to not enjoy anything about India. Everyone else had a good story line; I found the best one [and the saddest] to be with Tom Wilkinson. Super touching. Maggie Smith added hilarity with her being so crotchety.

Definitely a great movie to watch with the older lady in your life, especially curled up with a cup of tea and some biscuits.
My Rating: 4/5 Stars!
