I am glad that I didn’t see this with Andrew. He probably would have fallen asleep, and then the discussions afterward would not have been as good. No offense, Andrew.

I went last night with my mom and brother to see it, in theatres. Yay for cheap Tuesdays. And it was amazing. One can see why it’s sweeping awards right now. All the actors are so talented, and it’s completely sung. Beginning to end, it’s one giant song. And I loved it.

The costumes, the sets, the characters portrayed. All impeccable. You really feel for Fantine, and her downfall. I cried in random parts of the whole film, but mainly when people died. Fantine, Gavroche [he was adorable, and so sad that they killed him!], Eponine. It’s a hard movie to describe, it’s just something you have to see for yourself. Yes, it’s not for everyone. But anyone who enjoys a musical, will enjoy this. I think. Beautiful, is the word that immediately comes to mind.

I love the love story with Marius and Cosette, and it doesn’t hurt that the actor playing Marius is totally hot. I was like mm eye candy.

I now immediately want to learn French and go to Paris. Can we go now?
